Morocco chic meets European romance on a warm California Summer eve...The Stems and RSVP team had the pleasure of conceptualizing, designing and implementing this dream engagement celebration at a private estate in the Central Valley. The abounding love, behind the scenes, from the design team was reflected in every detail of the event: from the couture letterpressed invitations, romantic lantern-lit canopies to the vibrant floral dramatic centerpieces.
Custom designed, fully covered canopy structures were installed five days before the event and then draped in an open-air design for ambiance and to allow breeze in the evening. Dozens and dozens of gold Moroccan lanterns were hung beneath these canopies, some lit with lights and some with candles for levels of illumination. The surrounding yard was draped in ivory and champagne organza, framing this mecca of glamour, and up lit in shades of warm white.
French farm tables, lined with Moroccan woven runners, were set with layers of gilded chargers, china, gold flatware and ruby red King Louis crystal stemware.
Die cut, letterpress custom menus beheld the Armenian feast served family-style, beneath towering lush floral centerpieces. The stunning floral works of art dripped with garden roses, peonies, dahlias, coxcomb, hydrangea and eucalyptus. Exotic fuchsia dracaena stems added the Moroccan flair to the romance of the summer garden harvest.
Guests danced under the stars on the plexiglass covered pool in the center of the dinner cabanas, which was also lit from beneath. The live band played from a draped pergola adjacent to the dance floor, while the appetizer area was transformed in to a dessert island, filled with platters of fresh tropical fruits, Armenian and European pastries, while the couple's engagement cake sat front and center. Tiers of decadent flavors covered in fondant and hand painted and decorated in gold gilded Moroccan art to coordinate with all of the custom designed print suite. Elegance and luxe from beginning to end....and at the end, each lady guest was presented with a "Daros," gold vase, tied in silk ribbons and beads, filled vibrant scarlet and fuchsia garden roses, a thank you from the couple for celebrating the beginning of their journey to Mr.and Mrs.
